The Mining Day in Helsinki takes place on October 31st at the Helsinki Stock Exchange,
Pörssitalo, Fabiansgatan/Fabianinkatu 14.
It comprises two separate blocks:
- Mining in a nutshell – half a day crash course introducing basics of the mining industry to beginners
- Finnish mining – how to manage the present boom?
Mining in a nutshell
A course open for those interested to learn more about the mining industry, registration form can be found under registration on the menu. It deals with such topics as
- Mining – a truly global industry an overview and introduction
- Exploration – basic geology and economics
- Mining – drilling, blasting and mineral processing
- Smelting & refining – metallurgy to get the pure metal
- Mining and society – recent developments in environmental and socio-economic demands
Finnish mining – how to manage the present boom?
A seminar by invitation only and open for participants from the financial sector and journalists only. Topics discussed are:
- Mining a sun rise business – Factors behind Canada’s success as a mining country.
- How to succeed in mining investments!
- Opportunities on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
- Finnish government and mining investments.
- Metal markets – stronger for longer?
There will also be company presentations by Mawson, Scandinavian Resources and others. Ample time will be set aside for personal meetings especially during the cocktails at the end of the day.
